The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra offers "Jazzed-Up Fridays". Attend the first half of the SPCO concert for your classical fix, then stay in the lobby to hear some great jazz with the Mary Louise Knutson Trio featuring bassist Chris Bates and drummer Jay Epstein. The lobby bars and dessert lines will be open.
Jazz Pianist/Composer Mary Louise Knutson was nominated for "Best Jazz Artist of the Year" and "Best Pianist of the Year" by the Minnesota Music Awards in 2006 and was a Top 5 Finalist in the 2005 'Women in Jazz' Pianist Competition hosted by the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
You'll hear signature arrangements of jazz standards and award-winning originals from Knutson's mainstream-to-contemporary style jazz trio.
