'...the performance was a smashing success; students spilled toward the Gustie Den and danced throughout the lower level of the Campus Center.'~ The Gustavian Weekly (March 21, 2003) 'To First-Year judges Mike Bologna, Travis Bjordahl, Paul Cahoy and Chelsea Domeier, along with many of the attendees of the Battle of the Bands, the king of the bands was Just Add Water. Rocking the stage, and the glass windows of the caf, Just Add Water triggered a huge crowd response. Junior guitarist Rob George, Junior singer Joe Lencioni, Senior bassist Jeremy Braband, Junior trumpet player Dave Baldes and Junior drummer Josh Carlson had amazing energy. Their ska/punk style made the crowd go wild, dancing and moshing like crazy.
Bologna said, 'They were the only group with a trumpet and had the most energy on stage.' Just Add Water earned their title as this year's winners of Battle of the Bands. '~ The Gustavian Weekly (Oct 4, 2003) |
