Petulant - Reviews
'Petulant Delivers Potent Punk Rock! by Shayla Houser The punk rock scene has made a comeback in the hearts and souls of teenagers around the country. Not only has the style of punk come back, the music has as well. The band Petulant has taken elements of punk rock and used it to make solid, original music that take up some of their time and gives Cooper students something fun to listen to. The group formed in 1999 with Blonigan and Thomas jamming after school. both had been in other bands before Petulant that they humorously look down upon. I just say no to those band, Blonigan said. I'm not very proud of my past. It was only a year ago, when Anderson joined, that the band officially formed under the name Petulant. We are influenced by everything we listen to, Anderson said. When Petulant performs, they are known for putting on a strong energetic show consisting of almost all original music, though they do throw in the occasional cover song. The chemistry between the band members is very apparent when they are on the stage. The trio plays together with a force and strength that would not be there if the chemistry didn't exist between them. According to the band, people will be able to witness this chemistry during the group's upcoming shows. The memebers of Petulant have hopes for a future in professional music. Thomas said that if they can play bigger venues and get some recognition, they might play out of state. We may even go international, to Canada, Thomas said.'
