'What's this? A local band that doesn't fit in with any camp or try to sound like anyone else? Believe it. Song of song, this is one of the most rewarding homegrown debuts I've heard it ages, thanks to singer/songwriter SvenErik Olsen's nightmarescapes and a band that fires like a good dog show: on command. With their adventurous melange or soft rock and hard jazz, and some terrific guitar work, these guys could play on a bill with Happy Apple, Lifter Puller or the late, latent T.V.B.C.'~ Jim Walsh, St. Paul Pioneer Press 'Strummy, low-key indie pop that brings to mind bands like Luna...understated, dreamy vocals from SvenErik Olsen are interspersed with guitar work by John Hand that alternates between tasty, melodic maneuvering and rock fury.
