Gregory Beech, double bassist, singer, teacher, and graduate of Rutgers University and the University of Minnesota Morris performs music regularly in the Twin Cities area. He's been a member of Quartet Gumbo, Beau Koo Jacks, Freight House Jazz Band, Musty Velvets, and New Grassheads. He has performed locally at KBEM Winter Jazz Festival, National Resophonic Guitar Festival, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, The Children's Theater, The Guthrie Theater, Lake Harriet Bandshell, numerous private parties, churches, bars & clubs. A Duke Ellington devotee, a Count Basie fanatic, a Ray Brown disciple, a trained singer, a solid sight-reading upright bassist, and a dyed-in-the-wool bluesman who has chops on the guitar, bass guitar, and piano, Beech is available for gigs, sessions, and music for the sake of pure joy.
