Machinery Hill plays a combination of original music and creative arrangements drawing from traditional sources such as Klezmer, American Folk, Bluegrass, Celtic, Reggae/Ska and Blues. They have performed along with such diverse acts as BeauSoleil, BuckWheat Zydeco, Frente, Phish, Black 47, Brave Combo, Eugene Chadbourne, Jimmy Carl Black and Queen Ida; and have headlined at The Great River Folk Festival, among others.
The six members of Machinery Hill call Minneapolis, Minnesota home and have been performing to a variety of audiences for the past 15 years. While juggling various day jobs and families (at last count 6 kids between the 6 band members and spouses,) this group has been writing and performing some of the most unusual music in the Northlands.
