Jeff Elstad is a Minneapolis based acoustic (finger-style) guitarist in the American-Jazz-Folk-New Age idiom. He has been playing guitar (electric and acoustic) since age eleven. His musical influences vary from Mason Williams, Eric Clapton, Kottke, to Skynard. In late 1999, Jeff started the Cedar Moon project - creating original compositions and discovering the pain and struggle artists go through. Cedar Moon was released in late 2001. Since then, many radio stations across the United States have played and featured Cedar Moon. National Public Radio’s All Things Considered recently played several Cedar Moon songs in between segments. Jeff’s musical muse strives to bring a fresh approach and sound to the acoustic guitar. |
