The Middle Spunk Creek Boys have been entertaining upper Midwest audiences with their special form of Bluegrass music for over 32 years. Twice winners of the Minnesota Music Awards 'Best Bluegrass Band' category, the 'Boys' have appeared on nearly every radio or television show that featured live music (as well as some that didn’t think they did!), and have shared the stage with almost every notable performer in the Bluegrass field. And their latest recording 'No One Else' got a rave review from the leading Bluegrass magazine.From their early days on the Prairie Home Companion to their recent recording success, the “philosophy” of the Middle Spunk Creek Boys has been to perform the songs and styles that the current members are interested in, and not worry about what other bands are doing or what the MSCB did in the past. This ensures that the material is always fresh, and that the band actually likes performing the songs. (Audiences can tell!) Currently, this means that a large part of the Boys repertoire are songs written by band members Mark Kreitzer and Bruce Jaeger.
