Sweet Waters is a solo/ duo act featuring Kathleen Smithson on vocals and accoustic guitar and Everett Smithson on harmonica and washboard. Featuring beautiful songs sung rich in vibrato with simple guitar and harmonica trading leads and rhythms. For extra effect washboard is added to provide a solid beat and get toes tapping. There are songs by Johnny Cash, Maybelle Carter, the Staple Singers, Bob Dylin, Allison Krause as well as old Blues and Southern Gospel. The material provides an innocent quality that is rarely heard in this day and age and is a perfect addition to public and private church services, weddings and funerals as well as informal gatherings.
