Exultate is a chamber music ensemble composed of 35 singers and 16-20 instrumentalists and performs a variety of choral and orchestral works throughout the year. Since its inception, Exultate has produced nine CDs which are sold on Amazon.com, through Exultate's website (www.exultate.org) and in the Sam Goody classical section at the Mall of America. Performances are held in December, March and May each year in two to three concert series. In the 2001-2002 program year, Exultate plans to add a fourth concert series in October. Works performed and recorded by Exultate include major choral works such as The Seven Last Words of Christ by Theodore Dubois, A German Requiem by Johannes Brahms, and Wolfgang Mozart's Requiem and Grand Mass in C Minor. The May 2001 program featured music from around the world including Aleluya from Misa Andina, sung in Spanish and accompanied by Quitus, Ecuadorian musicans playing indigenous instruments; Ale Brider, sung in Yiddish and performed with Prairie Heym Klezmorim Klezmer Band; and Prairie Love Song sung in Chinese. From the classics, to ehnic folk music, to unique arrangements of favorite Chirstmas carols, Exultate performs high-quality choral works, accompanied by orchestral instruments, in diverse styles.
