Soul Power is a R&B, Funk,Funk Rock, soul band with a mission here to educate and reeducate people with sounds from yesteryear. A vision of Phyllis who has been playing the local scene for a number of years. Truly a staple of the Minneapolis music scene, she cannot walk into a club without being reconized or having played with someone on stage.

Phyllis has assembelled a group of talented musicians from all walks of life, to come together with one common goal, to reintroduce people to music that is important, not just to her, but to everyone, If its not fun, don’t do it. Ya, others have done it and are doin' it, but this is different.

The heart of the band lies in the rythym section, a back beat that don’t quit held down by drummer Roy.......... (read his bio if you wanna know where he's been he has had a phenomial career) and bass player Matt who recently came on to the Minneapolis music scene from California, who doesn't go anywhere without the drummer. Matt has worked with everyone!

Mark Sullivan and Kurt Nistler on the upper half of the spectrum. The icing on the cake. Mark can play anything, even Kurts parts( and sometimes does). Without Mark, the band couldn't do half of what it does.

Then you bring in a high enegry rock guitar player (Kurt Nistler) that loves funk. Kurt is fun to watch cuz you know theres no place he'd rather be then on stage.

Adding percussion rhythms to the band is Marco. He's played with just about every one in town from Joe Juliano to CBO. And what a voice!

The real icing on the cake is Phyllis , the girl with the vision, the one's who really makes it all happen they will send shivers down your spine, guarenteed.
