Voted five time winner of the Reader’s Choice award of Best Musician in the Twin Cities (Lavender Magazine), Ellis continues to win fans nationally with her charismatic stage presence, powerful performances, and playful sense of humor. She is a musician that can bring her audience to tears - either because her powerful songs touch their hearts or because they are laughing too hard at her between-song banter and stories. Known for her vibrant and open-hearted nature, she is an engaging and dynamic singer, songwriter and guitarist.

She tours full-time, performing her unique blend of folk rock music at more than 150 concerts each year. Ellis has a total of six full-length CDs her credit, five solo and two with her former band Bobby Llama (voted Best Unsigned Band in America in 2000). Ellis runs her own indie record company, and recently coordinated an all-benefit compilation CD of women’s voices for peace (www.peacecd.com). She has independently sold more than 25,000 copies of her albums and has a mailing list of thousands across the US. She recently released her fifth CD -EVIDENCE OF JOY- a live album that was co-produced by eight of her fans.

Ellis is currently touring solo and periodically as a trio with Peter Anderson on drums and John Munson on bass.
