The Black-Tie Terrorists were formed in the summer of 2003 with founding members Tom MacIver, Sam Gloor (Noir), and Pat Viker (Noir, Fudwiz). Originally named Blacklisted we jammed all summer and ended up creating the songs Broken Youth, Fascist Patriots, Bloodletter, American Flags and Dead Flowers, Sugar and Spit and COMA. On the Demo I believe we blended Punk and Hardcore with our own flavor of Goth overtones. Soon Joe came into the picture as the second guitarist. We decided Tom should be the singer, because he had alot of written material. Those six songs would become our first Demo titled: Closed Casket (demo sessions). In typical DYI fashion we decided to record the cd ourselves. Before we began recording we made the decision that we needed to part ways with bassist Sam. So we recruited Andew Valentine (The Tandies, JYN) as their new bassist, since he was going to be the recording engineer of the album anyway. After the record was finished we printed like 250 copies and was released on our original record label Suicidal Sunshine Records (Later named Death of Indypendent). A year of shows went by and we went back to the drawing board laying down many songs for a new cd. So far the cd is mostly written and the first recording session is done. We're releasing 2 singles off the cd. Both singles have three songs on them, and both have a b-side that will not be on the full length. There are a only 100 copies of each single printed. But we do promise that everything being written and recorded will be louder, harder, faster, and more boundary pushing then anything that we have done in the past. |
