The band Ivory Bridge plays music on the traditional instruments of voice, harmonica, banjo, guitar and bass. Ivory Bridge plays music that is constructed to transform into a perfectly blended bridge of sound right before your ears. Combining powerful vocals with inspired lead and back up instrumental work,Ivory Bridge Bluegrass Band is designed to take you places that will enliven and gratify. Performing a self styled sound which has its roots in Bluegrass music are songwriter, Lincoln Potter on guitar, harmonica and vocals, Bill liners on guitar and vocals, Jim Tordoff on banjo, and songwriter Kathleen Liners on acoustic bass and vocals.
Ivory Bridge entertains diverse audiences playing sets composed of their interpretations of Traditional American Classics by the greats, such as Bill Monroe, The Stanley Bros. and Hank Williams. But it's the original tunes inspired by the legacy of Bluegrass, Black Spirituals, Old Country, Celtic and Newgrass that make Ivory Bridge memorable. Lincoln Potter and Kathleen Liners are songwriters which can sing a story that you'll remember. Their voices combine to form some of the finest vocal duet harmony you'll hear anywhere. Bill Liners was the Minnesota State Flatpick champion of 2003 and he loves to sing train songs. Jim Tordoff has mastered the art of the banjo and we think you'll agree he is one of the best. An entertaining and highly crafted show of exceptional music, laughter and all around fun is what these friends have determined to bring to every venue they play. |
