Mostly by word of mouth, the Knotwells have gained popularity on the West Bank and Seward with a mix of styles, superior songwriting and instrumentation that drives people to dance. Rehearsing and playing in basements and frequently appearing at benefit concerts since 2001, they’ve stayed an underground band with an unusual sense of integrity toward playing and promoting their music.
