Cosmic Kibosh plays a mix of classic/psychedelic rock and jam band that appeals to a wide variety of people. They have a nice following of fans in their twenties and thirties who attend most local shows to listen to their upbeat tunes, but their classic rock sound and sweet instrumentals appeal to the older crowds as well. Kibosh has a knack for entertaining audiences and keeping the night grooving with several light television themes like Fraggle Rock, Knight Rider, and Dr. Who, twenty original songs (ten of which are on their CD Shake The Satellites), and thirty-six covers ranging from Brain Damage and Eclipse by Pink Floyd to Beastie Boys’ Intergalactic.
The four guys of Cosmic Kibosh--ANTHONY BERGMAN (guitar, lead vocals), TYLER JAY STARLACH (lead guitar, vocals) JOSH TRUMBO (bass, effect pedals, vocals) and PAUL TEBBEN (drums, vocals)-- have been together since 2002 and have played quite a bit around Fargo-Moorhead (The Empire, The Fargo Theatre's SpaceBase 2.0, MSUM’s Spring Blast '05, and Fargo Blues Fest) with bands like Quadrophonic, Bad Mojo and Pleasure Pause. They also venture out to regional shows in North Dakota, South Dakota Minnesota. They’ve been featured in The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, The Advocate (MSUM), High Plains Reader and are played frequently on Thunder Radio 105.9 FM and Sunday nights on The Boneyard on 104.7 The Dam.
The band’s web site www.cosmickibosh.com has more information, including their downloadable press pack. You can contact the band either directly through drummer Paul Tebben (701) 730-5512 or through the web site. They also have their own PA system and lights if needed. |
