New Voices is made up of 20-something storytellers and their advocates. We are interested in introducing the traditional storytelling community to a wider variety of younger artists (including musicians) as well as showing our peers how they can benefit from the versatile art form of storytelling. We meet via free conference call on the third friday of each month at 3pm and share artistic and business ideas supportively.We are a new group and hope to bring new artists to the National Storytelling Conference in mid-July 2005 in Oklahoma City by offering travel/hotel scholarships from money raised at our music/storytelling/spoken word event in June.
