The Disc: Stew’s debut CD has something for everyone, with the classic rock sound of Love Won’t Walk Away to the jazz sound of Away, the ambient sounds of Omaha and the acoustic strings of the Garden Song.

The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered at GilderSound in Forest Lake MN in all digital format. Started Aug. ’98 and ended Oct. ’98. Stew released it in November under Plasma Records.

History: Stew has been in creation since 1995. Jeremy formed it in St. Cloud MN. Stew has been through many changes before reaching its current line up. From a dream, to a two person project in a garage, to a four piece, to a trio, and finally to its current nine member ensemble.

The idea was to involve the members of the band with equal input about the creative process to the extent that they wanted to participate in, allowing expression in performance and show variety. Stew creates music for the performer and the listener. The majority of the current members have been with the band since the start of ’98. The name stew reflects the many styles and layers as it keeps a common sound and a form of music, a stew.
