Motion Pilots (m sh n) (p l t) n. An eclectic mix of Alternative Rock, Blues, Funk, and Pop thrown in a blender and served a’la mode.

The Motion Pilots are among a new breed of Alternative Rock groups that combine west coast pop with east coast rock. Appropriately Minneapolis serves as the breeding grounds for the Motion Pilots. The band has been together for 6 months and is currently working recording their first EP. The album (currently self titled) to be recorded at master mix studios will be due out in the fall. The 6 song EP will contain blues based rock songs that make you feel like you never left the 70s. Lead vocalist Matt Reilly and Lead guitarist Eric Warner have been co-writing songs for years. The Duo along with bassist Dash Leander are former members of the band Chasing Sane. With the addition of Drummer Chris Oltalf The Motion Pilots were born.

Aside from writing and recording, the Motion Pilots have played numerous gigs around town including The Fine Line, The Institute of Production and Recording showcase, Acadia, and several other private parties. They are getting set to do a live T.V broadcast for Minneapolis/St. Paul’s show T.C. Music and are also working on a song that will be used in the indie film ‘The Liar’.
