the Usual 3 is an electrifying alt rock band from the Montgomery County area. These veterans of the Gaithersburg basement music scene officially began their journey together in 1999. But let's skip all that uninteresting stuff...

Fast forward to the present. After years of playing as a power trio, Jonathan, Micky, and Yahnatan asked Zach to join the band as rhythm guitarist and more importantly, lead singer. With all the players firmly in place, they strive to move forward in creating music relevant to young people.

'It's a great place to be...knowing that everyone is in their right place. Never before have I been so excited to be creating new music...the possibilities seem endless,' says Jonathan. 'With this particular line-up, the songs take on new life and give us fresh perspective. not just in the playing of the songs, but in the realization of how great it really is to do this...to make music and to share that music with other people.'
It's this excitement that the Usual 3 brings to their live shows. The passion they feel about sharing their music is evident in their performances, as they often carve out places in songs to allow the audience to sing with them.

The band is looking forward to recording their debut album in the very near future, but right now they are enjoying playing together for young people in the greater Washington area.
