Raymond McLain and Mike Stevens

Raymond McLain (fiddle and banjo) of the McLain Family Band from eastern Kentucky and Mike Stevens (harmonica) from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada concert at McLeod West School, March 16, 2001 at 7:30pm.

Ken Dugan, President of the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Assocation will be Master of Ceremonies. Due to grants and funding, tickets will be $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for senior citizens, all students and children are free of charge. They will be conducting a 5 day workshop for musicians at no cost.

Contact the McLeod West School for further information. The McLain Family Band has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Lincoln Center, and the Grand Ole Opry.

They were Ambassadors to the US in Music having performed in 62 countries and produced their own tv show. Raymond was a 10 year member of Jim and Jesse McReynolds and the Virginia Boys Band.

Mike is Entertainer of the Year, 5 times, retired in that category, in Canada. He has played with Bill Monroe,! Roy Acoff, Jim and Jesse, and Little Roy and the Lewis Family. He has just returned on a tour to Bosnia and the North Pole.
