This is my first CD; it took about a year to make. Not bad, considering I was still working full time (and more) as a teacher, and could only record on Saturdays! My partner Paul Spreitzer provides harmony on many of them. Influences include Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello, Kate Bush, Ferron, Stan Rogers, and the list goes on and on.
So, how do you pronounce my last name? People have looked at the 3 vowels in a row and made attempts like 'Hyoower', 'Heener', 'Hoover', 'Hair', 'How-er' 'Hoo-er' and 'Hoyer'. Choose the last one...Heuer rhymes with 'lawyer'. (Now...go quiz your friends!) |
