IdiotKin's debut CD, That's a Lotta Cheese! has been described as aggressive, funny, rockin', and original. The guys in the band are sometimes taken by surprise by people's reactions to their music, because to some degree, they aren't really sure just how good the stuff they write really is. They are certainly proud of their work, but they don't EXPECT other people to like it. However, they do write a lot of cool, clever, funny songs that other people can easily relate to, even if it is not directly related to their own life. The neatest thing about the album is that Ross and Reese, the band's founders, both wrote the songs, so Ross is on the guitar for 7 songs, and Reese is on the guitar for 8 (9 if you include Louie, Louie). The versatility of the members and their music makes That's a Lotta Cheese a sheer joy to listen to. You'll get everything from ska riffs, to punk rock, to classic rock influenced drums and really, everything in between. |
